Recycle horse lantern

New project of my son, to make horse lantern from recycle material and later will be a competition. We made it from corrugated board ex-pampers box and cut it to the horse shape for 2 pieces. Then we put the ex-cookies plastic jar in between for the candle. We cut the middle part of the horse and put the plastic, so the candle light can go through it as a lantern. We color it with white poster paint and made the horse hair from rafia string and tear it into the fine line. Finally we attached the stick using the big pencil to the horse body with rafia string and glued the rainbow wing. Done!! Hope he can win :)

Here is one of the things i found. People made many types of lantern from red envelope. It's normally used to put money and give to the children up to adults which are not married yet.

A request from my son's friend to have a princess from pyssla beads. We found a nice picture created by deviantart.com. Unfortunately, we didn't have peach for skin tone, then we chose pink as replacement.
