Rose cup cakes

Mini roses from fondant - it was not easy to make first time as it was small and thin. It must be careful to roll it to avoid any cracking as it was dry easily. Simple but cute :)

Sandals cup cakes

I like the sandals but it took time to have a good and equal shape. It was not easy to make small baby shoes from fondant. But it's cute right? :)

Ribbon cup cakes

My first cup cakes!! I designed it on the spot which it took me sometimes for the 5th and 6th :) I wanted to have many types of ribbons, I like the pink ribbon with blue base the most. Don't you think? :)

Scrapbook Card for Farewell

This farewell card was dedicated for my colleague TA whom was back to her country for good. I like the idea to make it stand as it was quite unique. The challenging part here was to glue the sheets inside as when I made it stand it became uneven and came out from the cover edge. So, I need to adjust it manually sheet by sheet. As TA likes sparkling things, I created her name surrounded with gold beads. Hope she likes it with our colleagues messages inside. Wish her and family all the best in her new journey :)

3D shadow box - on the beach

3D shadow box for my colleague BE :) Input from my other colleague that BE likes beach, which was quite easy to think about activities there. The waterfall was quite challenging as I need to do many experiment how to make it look "real" and also the sea. After some experiment with many kind of materials for the sea, finally I used plastic sheet and covered it with white glue which made it transparent yet could match with the sea background. I love the beach which I used white glitter and blend it together with the beach background. So many details here in each activity for example : beach chair, umbrella, picnic mat, volley beach, banana boat, coconut tree, hand gliding and parachute. The wave I used the same material as sea but the challenging part was how to fold and hold the shape as it would support the surfing board. I really really love this piece of art! Thanks for the opportunity to create this :)

Recycle Owl

This was my son's school project related to Rainforest theme which they were introduced to Feathery Friends (Birds) using recycled materials. We used plastic bowl (to make the half round shape of the body), paper plate and newspaper. Thanks to Craft Magazine which I got the idea from :) but i modify a bit on the wings to make it more colorful. After finished, I felt it was too colorful especially using the colorful newspaper to cover the body...anyway my son still got the idea that we were making Owl.
